The Jazz Singer had just released two years prior as the first film with sound and dialogue, and wasn’t even allowed to be entered for some believed sound in film tarnished the art. It has been 90 years, and while filmmakers continue to break the barriers of how we push the motion-picture industry, The Academy Awards must remain an institute and honor that recognizes these efforts.
Vanguard is an elite organization and awards show, in association with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, student ran and maintained.
